Hello Hiddenite Community,
My name is Dina-Marie Spataro, and I am the proud Principal of Hiddenite Elementary School. It is truly an honor to join this incredible community, and I’m excited to begin working alongside all of you—students, staff, and families.
Throughout my 23 years as an educator and administrator, I have held various positions including Elementary Teacher, Reading Support Specialist, Literacy Coach, MTSS Coordinator, Assistant Principal, and Principal.
My core philosophy is centered on creating an inclusive and supportive environment where every student feels valued, challenged, and empowered to reach their highest potential. I believe that by working together, we can ensure that Hiddenite Elementary School continues to be a place where students not only excel academically but also develop the character, resilience, and skills needed to thrive in an ever-changing world.
I am eager to begin this journey with you and look forward to the opportunity to meet each of you in the coming weeks. I welcome your insights and partnership as we embark on this new chapter together.

Assistant Principal
My name is Tyler Tomlin, and I am excited to join the Hiddenite community this school year. I served as a classroom teacher for 8 years, teaching math, science and health/PE. I am beginning my 5th year as a school administrator. I graduated from UNC Charlotte, majoring in Middle Grade Education, with a concentration in math and science. I then completed my Masters of Arts in Executive Leadership Studies from Gardner-Webb University.
Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my family, golfing, and anything sports related. I am ready to make this an amazing year at Hiddenite and look forward to working with all stakeholders to ensure our students experience success.
